Reflection 1

Does anyone else just feel like givin' up and moving away to somewhere brand fuckin' new? I do. And it's shitty to admit that I want to throw in the towel but I truly feel like giving up right now. The jobhunt is hopeless, not even false hope. I don't even get the courtesy of a reply. I'll tell ya, the second I come across something good, that's not here, i'm a gonna take it. Just you watch me.

On a more positive note: I have an interview tomorrow at 1pm at Berkshire Place Living Community in Providence for the position of part time Activities Director in the alzheimers unit of the nursing home. I'd run bingo, serve cake and ice cream, pop in a vhs now and then. That kind of stuff.

fingers crossed,

Taddy Porter

so sam smith was having some problems with his computer last year and for safety he put his pictures from Italy on my comp. i was mad bored yesterday and was cleaning out bullshit files off my comp when i came across Sam's pic's and i was like oo shit, ive never even looked at these before. So im looking through some of them(there were hundreds so i was just browseing) and i found this one folder labeled Still Framed Movies. So i click on it and its mad pictures of Ol' Smith doing assorted facial expressions, which i found hilarious so i decided to put them together as a movie for him

Piece for Creative Writing Workshop

This is just a short poetic exercise I had to do for a creative writing class I'm taking this semester. We had to follow the template or formula used by James Schulyer from his book of poems "The Diary". We had to write a "language of the day/prose poem". Here's my attempt at that.

First day of a new waking, to be clear, face forward and eyes open. On Wright Street, iced over, all white, now this street looks like that street, all pot holes and cracks faded gray concrete sit smoothed by the white. But what of the ice? Boots, overcoats, heavy hood draped over hanging head. Intent on destination, walking for purpose. Hot shower (not too long), clean room, mop kitchen, turn up music in my room to drown out noise from upstairs. He’s yelling or she’s moaning, call mom to let her know I do think about her.

Last night on Amy Street (last night worth remembering), An old friend, reshaped by years and absences, sat in a room with a window that didn’t lead to the outside but only to the staircase. He said “If he died and I’m still living, if he’s gone and I can still laugh, then does it matter at all? Why can’t I drive home now, you would laugh again, so does it matter…?” When I finally came downstairs and everyone was standing around in the living room or one of the bedrooms or any other room bent on telling you its purpose, they asked where I was, I told them not to worry.

Some art work

A painting done by Joe Gendron. Amidst my last day in RI over summer, good conversation, and liquor flowing freely, JoJo casually drew this throughout the night. On the right is a short piece from a poem written by K-Thack. I'll write it out for anyone who can't read it.

I'm a freewheeling planet
Not at all concerned with the gravitational pull of the sun
It's just something I never wanted to get caught in.

I just started looking at this earlier in the week and have been enjoying everyones posts, ideas, and art. I'm looking forward to checking out more in the future.

Fuck Graffiti

Lets start "Yardbombing" lol read this article its pretty cool

Wonder why highways jam up seemingly for no reason?

Interesting chart that shows why there will sometimes be a mini-traffic jam on the highway with no discernible reason in sight. I've wondered about this before and have had conversations on this with some of you. Cool thing to check out if your bored and sitting in a computer lab before class, case and point, me.

My new loft

Here's a picture of the loft that I was just called about and told that I got the chance to put down the first offer. Probably one of the best sights my eyes have ever seen. Ahhh who am I kidding? This is just a photo I came across of Allen Ginsberg's NYC Loft circa 1997. The photograph is shot as a large composite(a.k.a. one shot consisting of separate interconnected parts). Pretty spiffy place, huh?
